How to Make a French Style Rolling Pin

Crafting the Perfect French Rolling Pin: A Journey from Tree to Kitchen

At Clines Crafted Woodworking, we believe in the beauty of handcrafted items, where each piece tells its own story of artistry and dedication. Today, we invite you into our workshop through this video, where Dan Clines, owner and master craftsman, takes you on a detailed journey of making a French style rolling pin from scratch. Watch video below!

The Art of Wood Turning

Wood turning is an age-old craft that requires patience, precision, and a deep understanding of the material at hand. In this video, you'll see Dan expertly select the perfect local wood, chosen not only for its quality but for its sustainability. We ensure that every piece of wood is sourced responsibly and finished with food-safe materials to bring not just utility but health and safety into your kitchen.

Why French Rolling Pins?

The elegance of a French rolling pin lies in its simplicity and functionality. With no handles, this style allows bakers to feel the thickness of their dough more accurately, providing a tactile connection to their creations. This design is especially beneficial for those with arthritis or anyone who prefers a more ergonomic baking tool.

Our Unique Touch

Each rolling pin at Clines Crafted Woodworking is crafted to exacting standards. Unlike mass-produced items, our rolling pins are made with a diameter of 1-5/8”. We offer two lengths, 20 inches for full-sized tasks and 12 inches for smaller kitchens or tasks, ensuring that there's a perfect pin for every baker.

From Our Hands to Your Home

In our video, Dan doesn't just show you how to make a rolling pin; he shows how a piece of wood is transformed into a culinary tool that you'll reach for again and again. Our rolling pins are not only functional but are designed to be cherished and passed down through generations.
