The Tale Of 200 Handmade Holiday Orders
Crafting Happiness This Holiday Season
Surviving Holiday Madness With Handmade Gifts
Wow! Can you believe it?
The holidays were an amazing time for our small business. We had an incredible amount of support from our customers, with over 200 orders for our handmade products! We even managed to find the time to create some wonderful toys for our children to open on Christmas morning, and it was a joy to see their faces light up with happiness. In this newsletter, we’ll be taking a look back at our holiday business and exploring how we managed to squeeze in some time for joy.
The craziness of the holiday season.
This holiday season was particularly busy for us. We had over 200 orders of handmade products, like this toy bow and arrow set, that needed to be filled by Christmas! With the help of our amazing team, we were able to do it. This was a huge feat considering that our products are all handmade. We had to coordinate with our suppliers to make sure we had enough materials in stock, contact customers if there were any delays in shipping, and stay up late to make sure every order was completed on time. It was quite a challenge but our team pulled through and it was a great success. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in such a short time. We’re so thankful for all the support from our customers and fans. We couldn’t have done it without you!
How we managed to get everything done.
It took a lot of teamwork to get through the holiday season. Every night we all came together and discussed what needed to be done, who was available to help, and how quickly we could turn around orders. We knew that the success of our small business depended on us meeting the deadlines and delivering quality products. Even our 5-year-old son, Case, swept almost every night for us. We divided the tasks amongst ourselves and worked hard to keep up with the demand. We kept each other motivated and encouraged one another to make sure we met our goals. It was a team effort and we couldn’t have made it without each other.
What we learned from the experience.
The holidays are always a hectic time for any business, but this year was particularly challenging. Despite the extra supply challenges of 2022, we managed to make it through the holidays with over 200 orders of hand-made products some even custom like this 3 inch diameter rolling pin. We learned that no matter how difficult the circumstances may be, there is always room to find joy and spread it. We also learned the importance of scaling up and expanding our business to meet customer demands. With over 200 orders, we quickly realized that our current operations weren't enough and that it was time to make changes to provide more customers with our awesome products. We are currently looking into new ways to expand, such as streamlining our production and packaging processes and increasing our staff size. Our experience this holiday season taught us that hard work and dedication can make a huge impact. We were able to turn a chaotic situation into something truly amazing, and we are so grateful for everyone who supported us throughout the process. We hope to continue this momentum into 2023 and beyond!
What's next for us?
We are so excited for the upcoming year and all of the possibilities it holds for our business and family. Our Etsy shop has been a huge success, and we are looking to grow our brand even more in the new year. We plan to hire a team member to help us with packaging and shipping, as well as another team member to help us in the shop. We will also be expanding our facility to accommodate our growth. Most importantly, however, we will be welcoming our third little one into the family this March! This is an incredibly exciting time for us, and we look forward to growing closer together as a family in 2023. In the meantime, we will continue to focus on providing our customers with the highest quality handmade products, made with local materials whenever possible, while delivering exceptional customer service. We are eager to see what the new year will bring and look forward to what lies ahead!
Handmade Toys Bring Holiday Joy to Family.
It was a busy holiday season for us here at our small business, but we still made sure to squeeze in some time to make handmade toys for our two boys. We knew that the holidays wouldn't feel complete without seeing the joy on their faces when they open something special from us. Our oldest had been playing with a farm set passed down from my youth, so we decided to build him a wooden barn to expand his playtime possibilities. Our youngest was into trucks and tractors, so it was easy to him the perfect toy tractor. To finish things off, we also managed to make a wooden 3-in-a-row game and some lacing toys. Both boys were ecstatic when they opened their presents and definitely felt spoiled! It was all worth it when we saw their smiles light up the room.
